FourceLabs installation, created for Vrede van Utrecht @ Uitfeest Utrecht 2009

We’re very proud of this project; with children and elderly, boys and girls, having a nice memorable personal experience.

It was designed and created in two weeks, not including the editing of this video ;)

BlockBlazers at Cinekid Zoetermeer

Our game installation BlockBlazers will be present at the Cinekid Medialab Zoetermeer this week, from April 20-24.

We’re really pleased being at this Cinekid event because its main visitors will be classes of schoolkids aged between 12 and 16 which is largely the target audience the game was originally designed for back in 2005.  The game works really really nicely with this group of kids, we’ll probably drop in this week to see how things are going!

We’ve been doing a little upgrading of the software lately, getting ready for the game to make a transition to a completely new form but that’s all a bit secret for now, hehe!  In other words, we want to surprise you when it’s ready!

Using the red backpacks again this time since it’s a great mechanism to keep from ‘magically’ losing our wireless gamecontrollers :)

In het kader van de nieuwe media vierdaagse Victorian Circus in Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond in Amsterdam dat in het teken staat van het werk van Vlaams collectief CREW, zal op zondag 22 maart een speciale middag rondom artistieke game plaatsvinden. Aan deze middag worden bijdragen geleverd van oa Submarine, Tale of Tales, Gamefonds, Angelo Vermeulen, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Qantm College, Daniel van Gils, Communicatie Media & Design uit Genk.

Speciaal voor deze middag heeft FourceLabs een snel cursus mini game design ontwikkelt.

Hierin worden deelnemers begeleid in het ontwerp en de realisatie van een game dat gebruik maakt van de fysieke en sociale ruimte van de Brakke Grond. De aard van de spellen is dat ze gebruik zullen maken van de omgeving en middag zelf en deze op speelse manier beïnvloed

De cursus is opgesplitst in twee delen
